We're all sharing the same sky

I've been feeling a lot better about everything the past couple of days. Having some real sleep has helped even if it does mean I've gotten slightly behind on studying and working out. Oh well, that's what this day off is for and I'm making good headway. Yesterday I got to go to DenDen Town, a mjor electronics district in Ebisu-cho, to look for a card to download DS games onto so I can have some new ones to play while I'm here. The train ride was longer than I had been in awhile, but it was a pretty ride. DenDen Town itself is several blocks of buildings built with underhangs and have a random assortment of porn store, toy shop, game store, and restaurant. Each block has at least one of each of these buildings so its interesting to see all the differenct combinations. We ate at a vending machine curry restaurant, where you punch buttons to select what you want then take the tickets to the chef. Lunch was delicious as usual.

Walking down the streets is like walking down an extended yard sale, in front of most stores are boxes and displays of random mechanical and electric assorted items, ranging from LED lights to boat motorblades. The game stores we went into were awesome of course, with tons of games never released in the states, or not planning on being released until next year. So I had to buy a new one to try it out, the Japanese is a little overwhelming but it will be a good learning experience all the same. I'm just hoping I don't blow my budget buying games, self-control is easier said than done.

The past couple of nights all of the internationals practically have started hanging out in the lounge playing games and watching shows, so its kind of our unofficial place to meet. It's pretty cool, and I'm enjoying everyone's company the more I try. I'm interested to see what this weekend will bring, I have a hanami (flower viewing) on Saturday in either Kobe or Kyoto, so maybe I won't get too torn up tomorrow. I also have Literature tomorrow afternoon, which after reading the material sounds really interesting, I'll be sure to give a summary of that.

I'm going to enjoy this awesome weather before the rain breaks!
