So the past couple days have been eventful, as usual, which kept me from sleeping, as usual. But I did finally get a couple things done that have needed to happen for awhile, like get a laundry hamper for a dollar. Of course since this is Japan I couldn't get a normal laundry hamper and had to get a super kawaii one...
A couple days ago, I did nomihoodai AGAIN, it's a good deal, as long as I drink more than four drinks I'm making money. I made lots of money haha. And I also got to meet the entire Kansai soccer team and throw some drinks back with them. I love being a super foreigner sometimes, and meeting new and enthusiastic Japanese kids.
Last night I got to go to a local concert which was 6 bands from Kandaimae, one of which was a Maroon 5 cover band. Hearing people sing the same sounds but knowing the words was...interesting. But the scene was great, a good experience overall. Afterwards, an exchange student's roommate took us to a yakitori (chicken on a stick) place, which I had already been to with a friend, but it was just as fun the second time, and a great chance to meet up with a couple new people who live in my dorm.
My new card is coming in on Tuesday, so I just have to make it through the weekend with the money I have. Hopefully there won't be too much to miss out on, I already have plans to go to the International Club and help a Korean friend study English for a proficiency test. So we'll see what happens!
