Down To The Wire

I'm typing this from a hotel room in Atlanta on Friday morning. My visa process is almost finished, but we had one little oversight in getting it this weekend.

Today is Vernal Equinox Day in Japan, so of course the Consulate is closed...

It's my luck that we're here on the most random holiday of the year haha!

So I get to drive back Monday to pick up my visa, which is my official last step of getting ready for Japan! I'll take pictures of the consulate on Monday to give an idea of what a comfortable and hospitable place it is.

I'm getting pretty nervous about leaving in a week, but the excitement trumps it.
