Hurdles Halfway Jumped

Well I was right. Writing that entry yesterday was 100% good luck, and sure enough I got my acceptance packet today! This sets so many things that needed to happen in motion. I can finally go to Atlanta and finalize the visa process. The consulate makes this as easy as they possibly can, but still, why does every country want to make it so hard to have visitors?

I finally got to a functioning printer today, so my ISIC is done. Finally. After losing it once and putting off sticking the picture on it, that's out of the way. The printer was needed today too to print off a resume for a job that I might have for the next couple of we
eks. Doubtful, but money is money. And I got to print off packing labels to send off my camera to be fixed. Not much point in taking a camera to Japan if I can't see what I'm taking a picture of. This is why I'm a fan of non-digital viewfinders. But whatever. Let's just hope I can get it fixed for free, and before I leave.

Next couple of weeks before I leave are completely booked, of course. Things are going to fly by, I know that much. Spring break, Steeplechase, going away party... Plenty of things to keep me occupied, and trying to retain the Japanese I learned will fill in all the free time spaces in between. I'm definitely ready to start taking classes again, and to be around a gym!

Looking at all these papers reminds me how much I still have to learn to even read what I'm supposed to be doing at this school! No better time to start than now I guess. Inability to understand is a GREAT motivator in a foreign country. Ja klar.
